It features high precision 4:4:4 color output and 1080/24p Playback for Blu-ray Discs and DVDs when supported by both software and display, features you see rarely in mid to high-end standalone Blu-ray players or HTiB (Home Theater in a Box) systems. Most Blu-ray HTIB systems come in the traditional 5.1 configurations, but the SC-BT200 is a full 7.1 system. You have a bit more to unpack but that can be a welcome thing for a system that's quite affordable - a main unit, subwoofer, 4 surround speakers, a center speaker and two front speakers. It's also packed with all the latest audio options including on-board decoding for various audio formats. Home-theater-in-a-box (HTIB) systems like the Panasonic SC-BT200 feels like such an incredible deal, especially with a street price of less than $400. You get a 7.1 speaker system, which is two more than the competitors' 5 speaker systems, plus a slim-line AV receiver with an integrated Blu-ray player! If you're on a budget but still fancy a full surround experience, the Panasonic SC-BT200 should be on your list. The system can pack a punch and sound good doing it with its 1000-watt total output power. The iPod integration is a great feature that eliminates cable clutter and it's a feature you will definitely love! The biggest knock against this system is that it doesn't have Netflix or Pandora streaming. But when it comes to big, clear and crisp sounds, the Panasonic SC-BT200 will definitely rock you! |
